Please note the following guidelines for all filming media.

Any non-filming media who is asking for an accreditation must sign the non-filming declaration. Accreditation will be denied without a signed declaration. To speed up the accreditation process on site, we kindly ask you to bring the non-filming declaration already printed and signed to the accreditation. Thank you.

It is forbidden to film/record and broadcast moving images from the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup (even if this is for just 10 seconds or less for social media only), and to conduct video/audio interviews in the accredited area, with the intention to broadcast these on any linear radio or TV channel, website, or any other non-linear media platform (audio and video).

Thereby, without any approval of the UCI, media are not allowed to film:

  • behind the scenes
  • training
  • warm-up
  • XCC short track or DHI qualification, (all categories)
  • XCO and DHI final race (all categories)
  • interviews on the venue or in the mixed zone
  • flower/award ceremonies

All users must register their wireless devices in advance via webtool FreqCoord. Wireless devices may not be used if they have not been registered. For more information, please refer to the fact sheet.

There are various media bibs for photo and video media professionals, which will be handed out at the media centre during accreditation on site for a deposit of CHF/EUR 50.00. These authorize – depending on the bib – access to the tracks, b-zone, or finish line. Please note that the local organizing committee (LOC) can only issue yellow and a very limited number of red photo bibs, but no video bibs. Please tick the box on the accreditation form if you are interested in a photo bib. For video bibs, please contact Susanne Lenz (see filming permission).

There is no room contingent provided by the organizer for media representatives. Media representatives can book accommodation that suits them on their own.

Media centre

The media centre is in a two-storey container building next to the Rothorn valley station and can only be entered with a valid media accreditation. Accreditation is available at the media office in front of the media centre.

#fullgasmtb: Oil the chainsaws and prep the cowbells…

After battling it out in the humid heat of Cairns last year, the Mountain Bike World Championships are returning to Europe this autumn! The world’s best Cross-Country and Downhill athletes visited Lenzerheide for three MTB World Cups in the past three years and will be returning to the Rothornbahn in East Switzerland for the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships presented by Mercedes-Benz from September 5-9, 2018. Undoubtedly the riders will be giving it their all in preparation for the hunt for the coveted rainbow stripes. However, a prestigious event like this also requires the fans and spectators to put in the work, so they can support their favorite stars, pushing both themselves and the athletes to the limit, in hope of being able to celebrate with champagne and gold medals. The Swiss hosts are already at it:
